AM2434: AM243x: TSN stack licensing and LLDP data query

Part Number: AM2434

Hello,

We have two more questions regarding the TSN stack and specifically the LLDP example. I was able to downgrade the TI SDK to 10_00_00 and at least run the LLDP example which is great. Could you please share a little bit more about the "licensing agreement" that lead to pulling of the TSN stack out of TI SDK? I understand this might be rather internal information but we need to know if we will run into some treacherous licensing ground if we proceed with attempting to use the downgraded TSN stack.

The second and less important question, that would however save us a lot of time, is how to obtain the neighbor information from the LLDP. The example shows how to start up and set up the LLDP library but it is not clear to me how to act on the gathered data. I have a suspicion one has to go through the YANG database interface, is that correct? I would very much appreciate a code sample or at least pseudo-code.

Thanks a lot,
Vaclav
  • Hi Vaclav,

As of now, we suggest that if you are using the LLDP libraries for development purposes, you can use the libraries provided within the SDK. But for your product which needs LLDP libraries, you would need to get a corresponding license from Exelfore team.

Regarding the neighbor information, I will need to check with our TSN experts for more information. Please expect delayed response due to holiday season. Please ping here once If the thread remains unanswered for some time.

    Thanks and regards,
    Teja.

  • Thank you Teja for a quick answer, we will have to re-evaluate internally based on that licensing information. That makes the second question much less relevant now. Cheers and happy holidays.

  • Hi Vaclav,

Please let me know if and when you need the information regarding the LLDP neighbor info. I will update the thread when I get the data.

    Regards,
    Teja.
