AM263P4-Q1: Ethernet Communication

Part Number: AM263P4-Q1

Hi,

In a raw Ethernet (MAC-level) communication setup, master node sends a query and slave nodes respond to the query. The master node is expected to receive all response frames from the slave nodes , but some frames are missing.

When analyzing the traffic using Wireshark, the missing frames correspond to packets that have occurred at the same timestamp( in windows pc)

What could be the reason for missing Ethernet frames when multiple responses occur simultaneously.

  • Hello,

Can you please explain what klnd of software is running on AM263P? I assume that AM263P is the master.

Also when you say timestamps, is this time stamp embedded in the packet ? Or is it just an observation, that packets originating at the same time got missed at the master side.

Also can you also check the CPSW stats and see if there are any packet drops. Let me know if you need any help with getting cpsw stats.

    Regards,

    Aswin
