Is it possible to use the SORTE protocol on AM243x or AM261x devices?

We understand that there is proven usage on AM335x (AMIC110), but we would like to ask about the availability and release status of resources such as sample software, reference designs, or related documentation.

Hi Ito,

For running SORTE on AM261, the SORTE source code from AM335x can be re-used. The ICSS in AM261x is compatible with ICSS in AM335x. SORTE (100Mbit) is part of the Processor SDK: https://software-dl.ti.com/processor-sdk-rtos/esd/docs/06_03_00_106/AM335X/rtos/index_pru_icss_fw.html#pru-icss-sorte

Do you have the capabilities/resources to port SORTE from AM335x to AM261x, or do you need an recommendation for a 3rd party who can do the porting for you?

Does “porting from AM335x” mean that we would need to use TI‑RTOS?
We have never used TI‑RTOS, and as far as we know, TI support for it has already ended.
We believe that we do not have the capability to migrate from AM335x to AM261x.
