Hi,

I am trying to update the SW version(--swrev 2) for SBL, by changing the value in make_file_bootimage_gen file

And flashing in the device and the application runs fine

Again I flashed the same image with SW rev =1, in the device, but when I change the boot mode and run, it runs perfectly too, but it should not.

When I try to see whether OTP value is updated or not, via SOCID and parsing it to soc_id_parser.py, it shows as SW rev =1 means the version is not updated in the OTP area.

How do I verify this and How do I change the OTP values in this case?

Hi Nilabh,

I went though the link you provided, I got to know when these APIs to be called in my SBL software for HSM Version(after validating HSM firmware) and Keyring Version(after validating keyring certificate)

I am confused where to call these Read/write APIs for SBL and App update version in the SBL software

Read you can do anywhere, either SBL or an application.

For writing this is something you need to take care of based on your application or Firmware update architecture.

Key care about is to call once you have updated the firmware and you have verified the basic integrity.

This needs to be decided based your architecture

Is there any API to read SW from certificate?

Hi Nilabh,

I was updating the sbl as per shown images, the output is printed as zero after writing and then it is printed as 1 after reading. The app was running though. From next time, flashing is not happening, like sbl_uart_uniflash is loaded but not sbl code, it gets struck art 0%, when i reset it in ospi mode, it shows SOCID in terminal meaning sbl failed

When I try to flash any other sbl images in uart boot mode, its not happening. it gets struck art 0% for every sbl image and sbl is failed.

I changed --swrev to 2 and 3 in the sbl certificate, but also same issue.

Could you help me out
