MSPM0G3507-Q1: Is Rosc 100kohm with 0.1% accuracy required?

Hello Team,

According the MSPM0 datasheet, Rosc 100k ohm (0.1%) is recommended for SYSOSC FCL feature.

Customer is using LIN at 19200bps with target accuracy ±1.5% as well as SPI communication.

Would it be mandatory to use FCL feature in this case and add external 100k (0.1%)?

Or is it okay to use 100k (1%) instead?

Hi Kim,

Use 1% occurs worse accuracy than internal ROSC, and will over than 1.5%.

In genenic way, the SYSOSC accuracy = base accuracy + FCL ROSC accuracy*scale.

You can refer to the TRM below to calculate the SYSOSC accuracy with certain ROSC:
