MSPM0G3518-Q1: Multiple UARTs demo code

Part Number: MSPM0G3518-Q1

Hi team,

My customer’s application requires 4 UARTs with a baud rate of 4Mbps each. They would like to know how to prevent data loss from interrupt conflicts. Are there corresponding demo programs available? Thank you.

Regards,

Eileen

  • I don't think that TI has any examples with more than one UART.

However to answer the question, you must follow Hawkin's rule of Interrupts from The Court Jester:

Hubert Hawkins: I'd like to get in, get on with it, get it over with, and get out. Get it?

    Ravenhurst: Got it.

    Hubert Hawkins: Good.

Even at 80 MHz an MSPM0 would be hard pressed to keep up if there is a lot of data flying back and forth. You could potentially have a character coming every 3us or so.
