AM2634: Issue regarding Data reception through DMA in Am2634

Hi Ti team

we are using DMA for uart reception,while receiving the data we need to wait for the whole data reception in the buffer as per count.But we need a scenario that
we need to know how many bytes as arrived in the DMA buffer so we can further proceed .we can't use the chunk by chunk and rearm the uart_read again and again.
Could you please advise if there is a recommended approach or solution for this scenario?

Hi,
You can read the registers below to get the value you desire:

If your transfer size is set to 256, then recieved value is (256-ACNT)

If my receive Transfer Size is 256 and I want to know How many bytes of Data arrived in the DMA- buffer Before Full Reception of Data (256 bytes).

1.How to Know the arrived data byte count and can I access the data before full reception Completion.

You need to read the same register, you will need to read it periodically by Software
