MSPM0G3519: LP-MSPM0G3519: Factory reset issue

Dear Team,

This is the third board that we have landed up with one another issue where is it reports as "Factory reset has failed!" after executing "FLASH.UNSECUREerase" through Lauterbach.

Previous issues were reported as part of the below tickets:

E2E1549732

However until now the issue has also not been resolved yet and neither any conclusion provided to bring back the board to life.

Since this is limiting our progress highly due to unavailability of H/W for our potential development, we need to have an urgent debug session to address this problem(s) and find a wayout to bring these board back to life.

Kindly address this issue upon higher priority.

Hi Manjunath,

The Device diagnostic read = 0x36 means that the device is unrecoverable. NONMAIN is either invalid or erased and the device was reset and booted with that configuration.

If you are erasing NONMAIN, ensure that you flash a configuration to this region before power cycling.

Hi Owen,

Thank you for your reply.

We use t32 script for flashing our image, before we load new image, we use FLASH.UNSECUREerase in the script, which is suggested by TI. Does this erase NONMAIN area as well? Why this issue occurs randomly when we try to load any new image on the device. Are we missing any configuration in t32 script which is causing this issue?

I am unsure if this means that NONMAIN is also erased, so I would suggest reaching out to Lauterbach for clarification.
