Hi team,

I ask this for my customer.

In our SDK it has the lp and som demo in C:\ti\mcu_plus_sdk_am261x_11_01_00_19\examples\drivers\boot\sbl_null

compared two demo, we find it is different between LP demo and SOM demo: one is shareable and the other is cached

1.What's the difference between shareable and cached?

2.We recommand customer to configurate it as shareable or cached?

Hi Shuqing,

Please see the following thread to understand the difference between shareable and cacheable:

Essentially, setting it as "Shareable" also makes it cacheable, and allows the memory to be shared between cores, maintaining cache coherency.

However, setting it as "Cacheable" does not allow the memory to be shared between multiple cores.

Hence, it is up to the customer's application needs on which to be configured. Hope this helps.
