I am currently working with the TMS570LC4357-EP MCU and using HALCoGen to configure the N2HET peripheral. My goal is to use the HET module to read multiple quadrature encoder signals (approximately 7 encoders). I am trying to understand the correct configuration flow inside HALCoGen, particularly for:

  1. Configuring HET pins as input for encoder signals

  2. Setting up edge detection or capture for encoder channels

  3. Understanding the HET logic blocks shown in the HET1 configuration tab

  4. Determining whether there is an existing example project for encoder or input capture using N2HET

I checked the HALCoGen configuration pages (Pin 0–7, CAP 0–7, Edge configuration), but it is not clear how these blocks map to practical applications like encoder decoding.

Could you please help with:

• Any example code or example project for N2HET input capture or encoder interface
• Documentation explaining the HET configuration blocks in HALCoGen
• Recommended approach for handling multiple encoder inputs using N2HET
