Dear TI,

We currently have MT35XL512ABA1G12-0SIT designed in, and this works for us.

could you please let us know if AM64 can work with the following OSPI flash:

MT35XU512ABA1G12-A0SIT

Will there be any changes required when switching over?

Different programmer (maybe due to Jedec Identifiers),

Will AM64 be able to boot from this OSPI flash?

MT35XU512ABA1G12-A0SIT does not seem to be the correct name. Maybe MT35XU512ABA1G12-0AIT ?

Hello Marc,

So far I have not managed to find TI designs / tested solutions exactly with this part number - MT35XU512ABA1G12-A0SIT.

As MT35XU512ABA1G12-A0SIT is a Micron's product I would recommend to refer to the manufacturer for guidelines on how to directly program the flash memory. A programming could be indirectly done through the AM64x OSPI in case the Flash memory write/erase operations are compatible with the protocol supported by the OSPI.

Would you please answer the following question:

Did your system AM64x ROM loader and/or custom bootloader (SBL or SPL) use xSPI booting from the MT35XL512ABA1G12-0SIT in SFDP mode ?

Do you plan to use the SFDP option when AM64x ROM loader boots in xSPI boot mode from the MT35XU512ABA1G12-A0SIT ?
