AM2612: AM2612 OSPI Flash Size Limitation

Hi exepert,

I can't find any information about OSPI Flash size limitation when using DAC? in AM263x,we specify it only support 8MB maximum. But I can't find this information in AM261x TRM.

May I know where is memory map port start address and the size it can support?
Does SDK OSPI driver use indirect access controller to access Flash or direct access controller?
If customer want to use XIP, would only memory mapped direct access can support?

Hi Andrea, there is no such limitation with AM261x; it was only for AM263x.

Please look at the memory map section of TRM its 128MB for OSPI 0

For DAC mode, you can enable the DAC mode by calling this API - software-dl.ti.com/.../group__DRV__OSPI__MODULE.html

Yes XIP is supported in DAC mode only, since CPU needs memory mapped access to memory, please use this sdk link for enabling XIP software-dl.ti.com/.../BOOTFLOW_XIP.html
