AM2632: EtherCAT host not able to scan subdevice, PDI watchdog expired

Hi Experts,

My customer has tested the EtherCAT example on LP and is now moving to customer board, however, they are not able to scan the subdevice using the host.

The host machine and am263x software is the same, the only differences is switching from Launchpad to customer board.

We use the bsp_read_byte() API to read the ESC regsiters, below is the result:

(The array on the left is the register value, refer to the right for registers addresses)

The 0x0110 registers is 0x03. On launchpad (on issue), this register is 0x23, the differences is bit 1 for PDI watchdog expire.

The 0x0110-0x0111 regsiters saids link for port0 is up, this may help excluding PHY hardware issues.

The customer uses the same PRU connections to the launchpad.

The CCS version is 20.5

Syscfg version is 1.27

Industrial comm sdk version is 10.0

Could you please help looking into this issue?

Can you share the customer schematics and syscfg file, especially the PHY address configuration with me so I can start looking into this issue.

Hi Team,

Updating the status, we found some issues in the port assignments, customer can scan the devices after swiching port0/1, let's give them some time to comfirm the result

Hi Nilabh,

Customer can scan the devices when connects the RJ45 wire to the PRU1, instead of PRU 0, this is confusing. They tested the same software on control card and finds that they can connect to both PRU1 and PRU0, what's the cause of this?
