CCSTUDIO-THEIA: CCSTUDIO V20.3.1.5 is not starting on Ubuntu 22.04

Hello Ti experts,
Currently I'm working on TI's AM62P5-SK board. And for MCU and DM core side development using FreeRTOS I'm using TI's CCS(Code Composer Studio) Version 20.3.1.5: Link

Earlier it was starting when given start command for CCS, but suddenly from last week the CCS is taking more time to start around 2-3 hours. For reference I've attached 10 seconds video of what I'm seeing when executing binary.

Even I'm having enough disk space + RAM.

Due to failure in start of CCS our development speed is slowered, Kindly provide support on this as soon as possible.

Aditya,

Can you try clearing all the CCS cache to see if that helps:

Also note that CCS 20.5.1 has been released. I would recommend installing the latest CCS and try using that. CCS 20.3.1 has some known issues (especially conflicts with TI clang compiler) so I would not remain on that version.

Hello,

I tried reinstalling, clearing the cache but still there is a problem with it.
Also needed to confirm whether if I can use latest CCS and still use the old code and compiler? Or need to use the latest one?

Please try the latest CCS 20.5.1 (it is a full install as there is no incremental update for it).

You can use older versions of the compiler and other products with the latest CCS. Just make sure they are "discovered" first:

I tried installing latest CCS i.e. 20.5.1 but still, it is taking more time, Is there any issue with my setup?

The most common cause of such issues is conflicts with antivirus/security software running on the system. Is this the case for your environment? Is this a native Ubuntu 22.04 machine or is it a VM?

Yes, recently some security software has been installed on my PC under company policy. If that is the case, then what steps can be taken run CCS smoothly?

It is a native Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS OS.

You can try excluding CCS (both application and installation directory) from real-time scan if possible.

Would it be possible to temporarily disable the security software on the machine to see if that helps? If it does, then that would confirm my suspicions.
