MSPM0-SDK: VSCode intergration

Part Number: MSPM0-SDK
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSPM0H3216

Hello Sir/Madam,

I am keen to try to make use of vscode and the extension within it - Arm Keil Studio Pack (MDK v6) - to develop for a MSPM0H3216, but im having issues where the device startup is not found in included packs, which i found from https://www.keil.arm.com/packs/mspm0h321x_dfp-texasinstruments/boards/

Is there intention to be able to use alternative IDEs for TI devices other than uvision and ccs.

And if so could i get some assistance with using Vscode for this?

Thanks

Josh

  • Hi Josh,
You can use OpenOCD to work with VS Code and the MSP‑M0 devices. OpenOCD is a debugger that supports the MSP‑M0 and can be used alongside various VS Code extensions to debug an MSP‑M0 target. However, we do not have any collateral or specific guides for setting this up, as customers are free to choose whichever plug‑ins or methods they prefer for MSP‑M0 development in VS Code.
    Best regards,
