MSPM0G3507-Q1: how to achieve PWM sync and phase shift

Hello,

In the SDK example timx_timer_mode_pwm_x_trig_stop_restore,

1) if TimerG is slave, phase shift is not available for TimerG

2) if TimerA is slave, the code in the main.c has to be commented out, otherwise the slave PWM won't be enabled. If the code in main.c is commented out, althogh phase load value can be set, it doesn't take effect.

What might be missed? Do you have a complete example to show how to set the sync and phase shift together?

I found this post.

But I have no idea how the load value 100 causes the actual phase shift which is around 180 degrees. I tried other values and 800 causes the phase shift of 0 degree. And if the duty cycle is changed to 75%, the phase shift would change.

So how the actual phase shift is determined?

Also found this post.

The demo for sensorless motor in SDK is not generating PWMs. I guess it is too complicated.

For the method demonstrated in attached example, the question are:

1) Compared to the method using cross triggering, which method is preferred?

2) How is the phase shift set?

3) How to add the 3rd PWM correctly?

After some investigation, it looks that the example of sensorless motor example can only implement a false phase shift, which is the same wave shape as two PWMs with different duty cycles. It can not do the true phase shift, which delays a PWM completely. right?
