AM13E23019: Unicomm section in the datasheet

Hello,

I saw in the Datasheet online for AM13E23019 that the communications peripherals section only has the CAN-FD peripheral. Can we add the sections for UNICOMM?

What are the maximum supported baud/ clock rates for UART/ I2C/ and SPI?

    Hi Munan,

    Yes, I believe we are planning to add electricals to UNICOMM for a future datasheet release. Are there any other requirements from customers you know of other than max speed I should mention to the team?

    Hey Delaney, 

    Sorry for the delay, I think max clock/ baud rates are the key one, another peripheral though that would be helpful to have is the EPI timings when those are available.

    Hi Munan,

    Thank you for the feedback. I have informed the datasheet team of the requested updates, and they will work on incorporating this data in a future release of the document.

    For now, the below are the max speeds of all the UNICOMM peripherals on AM13E230x can reach (from the IP itself):

    UNICOMM-UART: 33.3MHz

    UNICOMM-I2C: 5 MHz

    UNICOMM-SPI: 50MHz

    There may also be GPIO limitations, however, see below section from the datasheet:

    The most restrictive frequency would be the actual maximum, whether that be the IP frequency or the GPIO switching frequency. 

    For the functional clock of each UNICOMM IP, the max would just be configuring a CLKDIV of /1, which means the IP is clocked at the frequency of its clock source, which is MCLKDIV2. This means max FSM functional clock for all UNICOMM IPs on this device is 100 MHz.
