AM263P4-Q1: Duplicate UUID's have been observed in Bswmd arxml files

Hello Team,

Currently we are working on MCAL AM26xx 26.01.00, We have found duplicate UUIDs in the latest MCAL.

We had already reported the same issue earlier in AM263P4-Q1: Duplicate UUID's have been observed in MCAL AM26xx 11.01.00.11 - Arm-based microcontrollers forum - Arm-based microcontrollers - TI E2E support forums , and it was informed that the issue would be fixed in the next MCAL release. However, after checking the latest MCAL, we can still see the same issue.

As UUIDs are meant to be unique, we believe the same UUID should not be used multiple times.

We have attached our analysis below:

Hi Mohasin,

Should the UUIDs be unique amongst all drivers or just within each individual drivers?

Hello pranav,

As per the AUTOSAR specification, UUID is defined as a globally unique identifier. Therefore, UUIDs are expected to be unique across all drivers/modules and not only within an individual driver.

Hi Mohasin,

I have logged this issue internally. Meanwhile can you send a screenshot where AUTOSAR prescribes globally unique UUIDs?
