Hello ASM Team,

My customer built the custom board with same pinmap as LP-AM261.

but they changed PHYs from DP83869(enhanced mode) to DP83826A(basic mode).

with this change, Link down occurs and it cannot commnicate with TwinCAT PC.

I changed PHY setting from DP83869 to DP83826A in sysconfig. also cleared the check box for enhanced mode but still it does not work.

is there any modification required for firmware side also?

I am assuming customer is using the beckhoff ethercat example?

Hello Nilabh,

It seems like Sysconfig tied DP83826E fields are not matching to the DP83826AE/AI fields.

PHY BU recommends DP83826A instead of DP83826 so we tried to follow the below

LED 0

Write to PHY register 0x0019 value 0x8020 (Auto-MDIX enable and enable LED0 config)

Write to PHY register 0x0018 value 0x0080 (Active High polarity)

LED 1

Write to PHY register 0x0460 value 0x0005 (100Mbit speed)

Write to PHY register 0x0469 value 0x0004 (Active High polarity)

Write to PHY register 0x0304 value 0x0008 (Set pin 31 function to LED1)

Auto Negotiate Enable

Write to PHY register 0x0004 value 0x01E1 (Advertise which modes PHY support)

Write to PHY register 0x0009 value 0x0020 (Enable Robust Auto MDIX)

Write to PHY register 0x0000 value 0x3300 (Enable Auto negotiate and restart process)

Odd-nibble Detection Disable

Write to PHY register 0x000A value 0x0002 (Disable Odd-nibble detection)

Fast Link-Drop Enable

Write to PHY register 0x0B value 0x0001 (Enable FLD with Signal/Energy loss)

But some register address are not in the Command and function like Disable Odd-nibble detection and Enable FLD with Signal/Energy loss is not there. I believe we should provide the more flexible tool so customer can set the Other PHYs, not only DP83826E and DP83869.
