AM625: AM62x uboot failed

Hi 

"I'm using a custom AM625 board. When testing the boot time, I occasionally encounter the issue shown in the screenshot. The error only happens sporadically.
  1. What is being checked at this stage? How can I understand what's happening here?
  2. What should be my troubleshooting direction for this error?"

    Hi Hao,

    The U-Boot 20211.01 for AM625 is very old and no longer supported. You should migrate to the latest version of U-Boot and Linux.

      Our product has been running on SDK 8.6 in production for a long time, and direct SDK upgrades are not supported for now. I would like to understand what operations this certification involves and whether there is any documentation available for it. What does the communication timeout indicated by ti_scirefer to? Does it mean that R5 failed to re-establish communication after booting U-Boot?

    Hi Hao,

    In the screenshot of the console log you provided, the first two lines look identical to the next two lines. Are all the four lines printed in the same power cycle to the board? Or did you power cycled the board after the first two lines printed?

    Do you see the mmc pintctrl_select_state_full message in every time booting the board even when the boot doesn't fail? or is it only printed when ti_sci failure happens?

    By the way, please copy and paste the log, or attach it as a file if the log is too long. Providing the log in screenshoots make referencing very difficult. It would impact our communication.
