MSPM0G3507: Facing Issue while Flashing

Part Number: MSPM0G3507

Hi Team,

We have built a custom board using MSPM0G3507 MCU. But when we flash the MCU Binary its working as expected. But when we reboot the power of MCU. It doesnt boot.

We have tested the things on MSPM0G3507 EVK and its working fine.

The difference is our custom board has 48mHz crystal and EVK has 40mHz crystal been used.

Please let me know the cause of the problem. And how we can come over it..

Thanks and regards,

Vinay

  • Hi Vinay,

Could you make sure your PA18 is pulled low during powering? Or MCU will enter into BSL mode automcatically.

    Regards,

  • Hi Team,

We are using the MSPM0G3507SPMR MCU in our design. As part of the hardware validation, we measured the VCORE voltage and observed a value of approximately 1.325 V.

As per the datasheet, the expected VCORE voltage is 1.35 V. We would like to understand whether this deviation of approximately 25 mV is within the acceptable tolerance range.

Currently, we are facing an issue where:

    • The MCU can be programmed successfully.
    • Programming completes without any errors.
    • However, after a power cycle or system restart, the application does not run as expected.

    Could you please confirm:

    1. Whether a VCORE voltage of 1.325 V is within the acceptable operating range for the MSPM0G3507.
    2. Whether this VCORE deviation could contribute to the observed issue where the programmed code does not execute after a reset/power cycle.
    3. Are there any recommended checks related to VCORE, startup sequence, or flash boot configuration that we should investigate?
