MSPM0G1505: Date-code from package numbers

Part Number: MSPM0G1505
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSPM0G3507, MSPM0G1507,

Following up from customer support number CS3458104 - I was recommended to ask here instead.

I have purchased MSPM0G1505 and MSPM0G1507 parts from TI to continue development. I have been using MSPM0G3507 parts from TI previously, and have had issues with some of the parts being pre-production and therefore not quite behaving as per the documented errata (specifically ADC_ERR_06). I have been told how to read the date code from the package markings on the MSPM0G3507, but don't know the relevant information to do the same on the smaller packages.

I'd like to check if the newly delivered parts are fully production/tested parts based on the package codes: "MSPM0 G1505S TI 3C8 A0SQ G4" and "MSPM0 G1507S TI 438 A1J7 B".

  • Hi Alan,

Sorry for the confusion. For small packages, we will not indicate the silicon version on the package, but for the chips you receive, the outer tape or ESD package should indicate the specific version.

Or you can try to read the factory region ID to get the version

    Regards,

    Zoey

  • Thanks, but it's not the silicon revision that I'm after but the date code as I'm led to understand that this can have an impact on their behaviour.
