MSPM0L1227: Runtime PORT Configuration Change on MSPM0L1227

Part Number: MSPM0L1227

Hello all,

I am using below Model to Diagnose S2B fault on NTC. The GPIO is to be Disabled during Normal Run Mode i.e R3 should be floating.  When Diagnostic is enabled the GPIO will pull the R3 to low.
GPIO is configured to Standard Output PullDown low.

However i observe the Pull Down Register is having effect during Normal Run even when i invoked DL_GPIO_disableOutput() for relevant GPIO Pin.

How can i Disable the GPIO during Normal Run Mode without having pulldown effect and enable the GPIO to output Low with Pull Down active during S2B Detection.

  • The pull-up/-down in the IOMUX is always active (if enabled). [Ref TRM (SLAU847F) Sec 8.2.5]. You can disable it with something resembling:

    > DL_GPIO_setDigitalInternalResistor(pincmIndex, DL_GPIO_RESISTOR_NONE);

    Unsolicited: I'm wondering what the value is of having a pull-down when you're driving the pin (output).

  • Hi Arpit,

    What Bruce has suggested is correct. If you need any further support, please feel free to reply here.

    Best,
