AM2612: the ecap feature : DISABLE_EARLY_MAX_ERR

Part Number: AM2612

Hi all,

We found this note in TRM

But we didn't found this bit in registers manual or SDK. Could you found it for us to help us confugurate it?

Regards,

Jenney

  • Hi Jenney,

    That bit isn't documented in the register manual or SDK, but it can still be accessed directly as a raw register read-modify-write.

    To set it (bit=1, defer error to the 2nd edge):

    #define ECAP_MUNIT_CTL_DISABLE_EARLY_MAX_ERR_MASK  (0x00000004U)  /* bit 2 */

    uint32_t regVal = HW_RD_REG32(base + CSL_ECAP_MUNIT_1_CTL);
    regVal |= ECAP_MUNIT_CTL_DISABLE_EARLY_MAX_ERR_MASK;
    HW_WR_REG32(base + CSL_ECAP_MUNIT_1_CTL, regVal);

    To reset it (bit=0, early error as soon as MAX is exceeded):

    uint32_t regVal = HW_RD_REG32(base + CSL_ECAP_MUNIT_1_CTL);
    regVal &= ~ECAP_MUNIT_CTL_DISABLE_EARLY_MAX_ERR_MASK;
    HW_WR_REG32(base + CSL_ECAP_MUNIT_1_CTL, regVal);

    base is the ECAP instance base address; use CSL_ECAP_MUNIT_2_CTL for the second monitoring unit.

    Best Regards,
    Prajwal
