AM2612: AM2612: PROFINET conformance testing

Hi Experts,

    We are implementing a PROFINET  application on a custom AM2612 board. We need pass Conformance Class B,  get a Certificate for our PROFINET device  from the PI Association.Please answer the following questions:

1.We would like to ask whether the PROFINET protocol on the AM2612 can pass Conformance testing . Can it satisfy Conformance Class A, B, and C?

2.The PROFINET we are working on is based on the  TI official demo program. We have only changed the vendor information, the module form, updated the MAC address, and add ed SPI reading of cyclic/acyclic data. No other codes have been modified.

    Please help inquire whether our PROFINET can pass Conformance Class B, and whether it can satisfy Netload Class 3, SNMP (Topology recognition), SNMP (PN-Name assignment via topology), and MRP.

    The attachment is our GSDML file. P.S.: We do not need IRT support, and the IRT-related code has not been removed. GSDML-V2.46-sew-movitrac-20260916.xml

    Hi,

    1. Yes, our PROFINET solution is already certified for conformance class C on AM261x launchpad.
    2. Also yes. With the modifications you mentioned I don't see a reason to fail the conformance test.
    - Netload class 3 is supported
    - MRP is supported
    - Topology recognition and name assignment by controller/supervisor are also available using DCP and LLDP protocols
    - SNMP queries are possible

    Important note: I strongly advise you to run all conformance tests locally and verify all features you're interested in before sending your board to the PNO test lab.
