Performance Monitor Unit (PMU) in safety context?

Hello,

Is Performance Monitor Unit (PMU) foreseen also e.g. for realization of interrupt period

monitoring, where the interrupt is executing safety functions or is PMU usage expected

more for debugging and profiling purposes?

Hi Vaclav,

As noted in the safety manual, the primary function of the PMU is for profiling code. While it was intended for development purposes, it is also possible to use the PMU to perform a plausibility check on proper CPU operation.
