MSPM0C1104: MSPM0 debugging

Part Number: MSPM0C1104
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CCSTUDIO

hi,

The debugging feature in CCStudio version 21seems no longer to be "connected" to my source files. I can see on my target that the code is running, but I can't see which part of the code is being executed. Normally I can step through the code line by line. I can still run, halt or "Step Over (F10)" but it does not show up in my Counter.c file.

The error happened after I added a new project to the workspace, and later deleted it again.

  • Hi Jan,

    I downloaded your CCS project and was able to replicate what you were seeing. The root cause was in the .cproject file, where GENERATE_DWARF_DEBUG was set to _none. Changing this to gdwarf-3 fixes the issue.

    Best Regards,
    Brian

  • hi Brian,

    I have now edited line 34 in the .cproject file in Notepad++, but it does not seem to fix the issue.

                                    <option id="com.ti.ccstudio.buildDefinitions.TMS470_TICLANG_5.1.compilerID.GENERATE_DWARF_DEBUG.1611875054" superClass="com.ti.ccstudio.buildDefinitions.TMS470_TICLANG_5.1.compilerID.GENERATE_DWARF_DEBUG" value="com.ti.ccstudio.buildDefinitions.TMS470_TICLANG_5.1.compilerID.GENERATE_DWARF_DEBUG.gdwarf-3" valueType="enumerated"/>

  • Hi Jan,

    Can you try replacing with "G_LOWERCASE" on line 34 and changing the optimization on line 48? I tested with 2 and everything was syncing correctly.

    Best Regards,
    Brian
