SYSCONFIG: Discrepancy regarding "Shadow CC"-feature when configuring timers

Hello, 

we're using CCS 20.5.0.28 with Sysconfig 1.28.2 to develop firmware for a MSPM0G1518.

When configuring PWM timers we observed a discrepancy between the datasheet [SLASFA2C] and the errors displayed in the Sysconfig. 
The datasheet on the one hand lists only TIMG7, TIMG12, TIMA0 and TIMA1 featuring Shadow CC.

The hint in the Sysconfig additionally mentions TIMG6. Also no error is displayed when configuring TIMG6 with Shadow CC.

I suspect this is a bug in the Sysconfig and datasheet information is correctt?

    Hi Timon, thank you for bringing this to our attention.

    The discrepancy is real, but it is not yet confirmed to be a SysConfig bug. The current datasheet, SLASFA2C, contradicts itself:

    • Section 8.32, page 95: lists TIMG6 as supporting shadow CC and shadow LOAD.

    • Table 8-15, page 96: marks both features as unsupported for TIMG6.

    Therefore, the SysConfig message agrees with the datasheet’s descriptive text, but not its table. I will bring this to the internal team to confirm if this is documentation or sysconfig, and report the bug accordingly. Thanks!
