TMS570 debug problem

Q1: Did you update your CCS4 (automatically)? What is your current version (help->about, e.g 4.2.4.30)? Which emulator are you using? XDS510USB or XDS100V2?

Q2: Can you erase you flash using nowFlash? After that, power reset the device, try ccs program.

I didnt update CCS. My version is 4.2.3, I'm using XDS510USB.

I tried nowflash and got this error

Error 182 - Measured frequency 48.41 MHz not within +/-30% of target 140.00 MHz

What does it mean?

Usually, this means your application changes the default settings of RTI, so that, nowFlash can not measure the frequency correctly.

You can check the frequency box and force it to be 48MHz and erase the flash.

I have tried but i got another error

Error 142 - Erase routine failed.

I checked the user's guide and it said the flash could be bad :(  Does it mean that the chip is broken?

Let's try sth else before saying that it is bad.

Can you try to assert nRST when you run nowflash. The following post explains this approach in details:

Please try it several times.

The last thing to check:

Can you measure the voltage on VPP? If it is in the range 3-3.6v, I run out of idea.

If the decoupling capacitance on this pin was broken, the same problem can be generated.
