Parity check for NHET1 and VIM RAM

Hello,

I'm using for the parity check of NHET1 the test provided with the application report SPNA106A. The function integrated in the recommended start-up called "nhet1ParityCheck" typically fails, but not in all cases. I observed the same behavior at a function "vimParityCheck" checking VIM RAM parity error.

I'm just wondering to detect this issue in a lab conditions. Do you have an idea why this happens?

Thank you

  • Hello,

Do you see these parity checks fail after executing code from a power-on reset condition or a system reset condition?

  • Hello Sunil,

I came back to the issue I reported some time ago. I still didn't resolve it, these two parity checks (nhet1 and vim ram) are either not generating the expected ESM signal at all or are generating just one of them (7 or 15). Any idea why this happens?

    Thank you

  • Hello Sunil,

The mentioned parity checks fail from both reset conditions. To be precise, the results "toggle", when NHET parity check fails the VIM RAM passes and vice versa, that's typical behavior, but also here is sometimes irregularity and both parity tests fail. I follow the recommended start-up procedure and using code provided with this application note. I'm using HDK with RM48L950AZWTT. In fact, I tried already other board, but the result is the same.

    Thank you
