More Information on the FPU of the TMS570

Greetings,

I am having some trouble finding specific information on the FPU of the TMS570. I would like to know more information on the system registers, the capabilites, and the general structure. Also, what specific architecture does the TMS570 have? VFPv3? VFPv3-D16? A different architecture?

Thanks for all the help.

Regards,

Willis

  • Hello Willis,

The Cortex R4F uses the ARM VFP v3D16.  Details of the FPU can be found in the ARM Cortex R4F TRM and the ARM Cortex A/R Architecture Reference Manual.  Both documents can be found on the ARM documentation web site:  http://infocenter.arm.com.

    Regards,

    Karl
