Thank you.

  • Hello Pashan,

Thank you for your post. I am checking to see if we have an updated document that provides the information you are requesting. In the mean time, can you tell me which documentation referenced the FEDACSDIS register so that I am familiar with the context of where this information came from?

    Regards,

    Chuck Davenport

  • Hello Chuck,

I found in  device TRM for TMS570LS20216.

This is for Sector ECC/Parity Error Check disable.

I think this feature is also in device like TMS570LS3137.

Let me know if I am wrong.

    Thank you.

    Regards

    Pashan

  • Hello Pashan,

The register in question (FEDACDIS) is not an exposed register for our F021 devices. There are several idiosyncrasies in using this register so TI has made the decision to limit access  to this feature. The feature will still be available but only accessible through the Flash API functions which handle the setup of the Sector ECC disable feature.

In regard to the other parts of your inquiry, there is an updated F021 flash chapter for the TMS570LS3137 TRM (SPNU499.pdf) but it is still in draft form and not widely available at this time. I am checking if it something that we could possibly post on the Hercules Extranet so that it could be accessed by our customers with standing NDA's. If we could post it there, would this resolve your issues?

  • Hello Chuck,

Yes, please post it on EXTRANET.

Glad to know FEDACDIS is  not there or managed by Flash API internally like a magic.

I am waiting for your reply about EXTRANET posting.

    Thank you.

    Regards

    Pashan

  • Hello Pashan:

Earlier in the week I sent you a message through the "Conversation" feature of the Forum. If you could please reply to this inquiry, I believe we can close this topic relatively quickly. Note that the updated Flash chapter of the TRM is still not 100% signed off so we will not be able to post it to the Hercules Extranet in the near term so this alternative communication path/solution will have to be used.

    Regards,

    Chuck Davenport

  • Hello Chuck,
