Other Parts Discussed in Thread: EK-LM3S1968
Hi everyone,
I guess this is really not the right place this issue should be posted to, but I hope to meet someone else who already faced it on the past.
Because of the starting of a new project, I should port an application I developed within the Nokia Qt framework to an ARM926EJ-S core-based microcontroller, running an embedded Linux kernel distribution. I used the ARM GNU toolchain for the cross-compiling phase. The board onto which the ARM926 core-based microcontroller resides is connected via USB to a Stellaris EK-LM3S1968 evaluation board; the former should act as the master of the communication, while the latter as the slave. Since the USB interface on the Stellaris board is handled by an FTDI FT232D controller, on the master side I should use specific FTDI drivers to send to and receive data from the Virtual COM port created by the VCOM handler subsystem resiliant within the FT232D chip. Unfortunately, I didn't find any VCP driver for an ARM core with a Linux kernel OS running delivered by the FTDI corporate. That's why I'd really be glad if there's anyone who already faced this issue or anyone who could help me.
Thanks in advance,
Daniele
