External clock signal to OSCIN pin

Dear Champs,

I have a question regarding to the OSCIN pin on TMS470M device.

One of the customers would like to utilize an external clock source and found in our datasheet the following description:

(Page 40, spns157c.pdf)

Meanwhile, on page 33, it says the MIN of VIH of OSCIN is 0.8Vcc, however, no MAX data mentioned.

They customer would like to know whether the peak voltage of the external clock signal shall be 1.5V or not.

Are they able to use peak voltage 3.3V external clock signal?

Renton,

0.8Vcc is 1.2V. It means that the peak value should not to less than 1.2V. On TMS470m device, you should not allow oscillator input go above core voltage (1.5V).
