What is the base address of the het memory which holds the Program, Control and Data fields in main memory?

I suspect that the std_het library might be putting the PCD words into the wrong location in memory!

Thanks for using our forum.

Which device are you using.

The NHET memory is mapped at 0xFF46_0000 to 0xFF47_FFFF on the TMS570LS2x family. (1 NHET)

On the TMS570LS3x and RM4x there are 2 NHET. The first NHET RAM is mapped at 0xFF46_0000 to 0xFF47_FFFF, the second at 0xFF44_0000 to 0xFF45_FFFF.

On TMS470M there is only one NHET and it is also mapped at 0xFF46_0000 to 0xFF47_FFFF.

OK thanks.

To be thorough about this, the auto-generated C file from the HET IDE stored the relevant words in the wrong location in memory!

Therefore I will have to move the HET's words to the proper location via my own code.

Can you share your Halcogen program? I would like to see what is wrong.

HET initialization is done in the function hetInit() and the het program is copied to HETRAM via a memcopy.
Are you saying that this code is wrong?

Please let me know, I don't want to close this thread if this is the case.

I'm not using Halcogen.

I'm using Code Composer Studio, which is related but not the same?

I am in the demo project that came with the IDE. Its purpose is to demo the temp sensor, the LEDs, and the rest of the stuff on the eval board. It's the code that is used by the nice little quickstart GUI under "TMS470M Safety MCU Demos".

I am using std_het and het.h to interface with the HET.

Also,I never used a function called hetInit().

Charles,

The hetInit() is a function generated by Halcogen.

Halcogen has support for NHET and provides code examples to generate PWM and Capture function.
The code you are using from the Demo Software is not build using HalCogen,
