PinMux Utility missing pins on LM4F232H5QD

Hello,

I'm working on a new design using the LM4F232H5QD. In the process of looking for any updates to the sample code for the eval board (which I haven't found), I noticed the new PinMux Utility for this family.

While going through the motions in the utility to configure it for my hardware, I noticed that some pins appear to be missing from the program:

  PJ6, PJ7, PM4, PM5

Am I missing something, or is this a bug in the utility?

Thanks,

---Karl

  • Karl,

You have found an omission in the pin mux utility.  Congratulations, for your troubles you win an incomplete pin mux utility!  ;-)

All kidding aside, thanks for pointing this out.  We will get it corrected and post an updated version.  Until it is available, you will have to manually configure those pins in your own code.  Sorry for any inconvenience.

  • Posting this rather new, and desirable "4F pin-mux" utility link - right here - makes sense to this reporter...

  • Hi Brian,

Wow, just what I always wanted! ;)

Thanks for confirming this issue. It's no big deal; I was fully expecting to configure everything manually as I have done on previous designs. Finding this utility was a nice bonus, which definitely helps to jump-start the development process. Configuring a few pins is easy.

Looking forward to the updated version. I agree with the other poster that a link to the new version in this thread would be convenient. Actually, the URL looks like it shouldn't change with an update, so I may as well include it here:

    Thanks,

  • @Karl - Merci mon ami - you've made life much easier for all who land here.

  • Hi Karl,

The newer version of the tool is schedule to be on the website (same link you posted above) tomorrow July 20th, 2012. Thank you for pointing out the bug as it helps up create better tools.

  • PinMux Version 1.0.1

For the LM4F120H5QR device (on the Stellaris LaunchPad), PinMux is showing the signal TRD2 on pin 28. This signal is not shown on pin 28 in Table 10-2 (or anywhere else) of the April 25, 2012 version of the datasheet for this device. Likewise, PinMux shows signal TRD2 on pin 28 of the LM4F120E5QR, but not in the datasheet.
