Hi there,

Can I connect both nPORRST pin and nRST pin together and drive them using a single MAX811 chip (Power on/Manual Reset)?

    This is not recommended. As you realized from reading the datasheet our nRST is a bidirectional pin. If you assert the PORRST, then device drives nRST low immediately. Now if you release NPORRST the device continues to drive nRST low for another 8 VCLKs. At this point you will see contention between a high being driven by outside and a low from the device. You can't use a pull-up on NPORRST (while shorting with NRST) either because then the device will always win and you will never be able to come out of reset.
