Hi All,

can anyone point me in the direction of an app note (or section of the manual) that describes the JTAG code security options for this part?

I am trying to work out options for preventing code and settings being read back out via JTAG.

TMS470M devices do not support any security options for JTAG.

Just to confirm....

There is no mechanism on the TMS470M processor to prevent any 3rd party (compettitor, hacker etc) from reading out code and configurations from the processor. Surely there must be a way to secure the device? disabling JTAG pins?

This is a major concern.

As I had stated, we are investigating options on newer devices to prevent accesses through security measures. On our currently designed Cortex-R4 and R4F devices we utilize a JTAG security mechanism to lock JTAG and on future devices we are looking at more advanced security features.
