nowECC crashing...

Hi All,

I am running the nowECC utility, so that I can verify my own ECC calculation code. unfiortunately, nowECC crashes out without generating the ECC file.

The command line I am using is:

nowECC -i input.hex -F035 -o output_ecc.hex

the exe outputs:

This is nowECC Version 2.17

Mapping: F035

And then it crashes.

I think that there must be something wrong with my input hex file? are there any known issues which cause problems?

Phil,

For which device are you doing this for?

TMS470M would have command line similar to what you are using.

TMS570LS20216, etc. would use the following command line:

nowECC -f035 -r4 -i input.hex -o output.hex

There are currently no known issues with using hex files.

Hi, yes it is the TMS470M.

all I get is a windows message saying "nowECC.exe has stopped working"

I'm going to do some trial and error with the format of the hex file.
