RM48 Hercules CCS license

After installing the Dvd of the RM48 Hercules development board, I have the CCS v4.2.4 as part of the installation but it is avaliable to run only for 30 days eval.

The TI Hercules getting started page say clearly that: "All Hercules Development Kits include on board XDS100v2, Code Composer Studio, HALCoGen configuration tool, demos and examples"

So why do I need a license for the CCS tool if it should be part of the board for free?

When trying to run CCS from the Hercules Safety MCD Demos application, I get an error that CCs 4.x is not installed (although it is installed and run when running by clicking on its icon.

    Hello Nir,

    Sorry for the inconvenience, This has been an issue on some of the DVDs that we built.

    You should be able to activate the CCS license for xds100 emulator from the 'Help->Code Composer Studio Licensing information' menu. Under 'Manage' tab. If this does not work, you can refer to the instructions in an earlier post on the same topic, which also includes the license file as attachment. Please see the link below.
