XDS100v2 USB Emulator (Error connecting to the target)

I am getting error below when trying to launch a debug session.

=================================================

Error connecting to the target:
(Error -151 @ 0x0)
This utility failed to open the adapter for a custom emulator.
The adapter returned an error.
(Release 5.0.333.0)

==================================================

I'm using  TMDX570LS20SUSB  and Code Composer Version 4.2.3.00004.

I haven't encountered this issue before. I tried to uninstall the CCS and then reinstall again, but it didn't fix the problem.

Anyone know the cause of the error? How to fix it?

Regards,

Dennis

  • Hello Dennis,

    The first step we need to do is to verify that the XDS100v2 drivers are installed on your machine. If you are using Windows you can do this by going to your device manager and looking under the USB controllers to see if you hace the XDS100 Channel A and XDS100 Channel B controllers and then looking under the ports (COM & LPT1) and note if you have the USB COM entry.

    Once you have a chance to check these let me know. If they are no present, please disconnect the USB hardware and reconnect without CCS running. You should see that new hardware has been found and the drivers will be installed.
