eFuse Controller autoload error and ESM Module Group 3 Errors

Hello,

the TRM says that all erros in ESM Group 3 are CPU Aborts.

I assume, that Data Aborts and Prefetch Aborts will be generated by Uncorrectable ECC Faults.
But what about the ESM Channel 3.1Error (eFuse Controller autoload error), does this also generate an CPU abort and if so which one?

Hello Christian,

The EFUSE autoload error is included in group 3 because a CPU is not available at time of error to manage error response. The only error response possible is to generate a response on the nERROR pin.

so if I understand you right, than this error can only occur during the "eFuse autoload" Power-Up Phase where the CPU is kept in reset.

Correct, the autoload (and possible error detection) occurs automatically in the boot process, before the CPU is released from reset. If autoload fails, we cannot guarantee behavior of the CPU. I am not 100% sure, but if the user triggers the autoload self-test via software in run time, the error could also be generated.

Please reference SPNU499A, Chapter 32. The information was not in earlier versions of the TRM.
