Hello,

i have an additional question concerning the safety of the NHET unit.

Does the NHET unit continue it's operation if the main processor detects an internal error, for example a core compare error?

Hello Manuel,

Once the NHET has been configured by the CPU and released to execution it will operate independently from the CPU. A detected error in the CPU has no effect on the operation of the NHET or other peripherals. A device level reset (for example, as result of internal watchdog fault detection) would result in both NHET and CPU change of state.
