AJSM module on TMS570LS3

Hello,

In January 2012,  I developped a software to protect the FLASH of our TMS570LS3 controller using the AJSM module. Everything works but as of now we don't have a way of unlocking the JTAG port to connect with an emulator. In March, TI told me they where evaluating a tool to be able to unlock the JTAG. Do you have any progress on that tool? I would need it because we have a few controllers that don't work because we flashed the wrong software.

Thanks,

  • Hello Martin,

Can you please give me more details on the issue you are facing. It seems that you were able to connect the emultor and program your device correctly until you decided to use the AJSM in order to lock it. Then after locking it you now want to unlock it and you know the key to program. So what you need is the utlility to send the key to the AJSM before connecting the emulator. Is my understanding correct?

    Regards,

    Luc

  • Hello Luc,

    Yes you are right.

On our controller we have a bootloader (that we flash with jtag on a new card) that allows us to reflash software without using the JTAG. After the bootloader is installed, we lock the card using a program we made. I won't go into details, but by mistake I flashed none functional software and now I need to connect with the emulator to fix the problem. To do that I need to unlock the JTAG using the emulator with a special program to write the key (I know the key).

Do you have this sofware that would allow me to enter the key, unlock the JTAG and flash new software?

    Regards,

    Martin

  • Hello Martin,

Can you share with me how you changed the AJSM lock code? I would like to reproduce your steps.

    Thanks,

    Luc
