Unable to flash out file due to undefined memory sections

Hello,

I have compiled an application configured on EB tresos 2011a (Autosar 3.x). But I am unable to flash the generated out file. I have attached the snapshot for your reference.

I would appreciate if anybody has anyidea whether I need to do some changes in the linker script file. I did some changes but no success. Also the snapshot shows the a part of the memory map file.

Hello Hari,

thanks for your prompt reply. Just to give you some more info on what else I did.

--> I also first flashed the ARMExceptionTable using the linker_flash file. Hence it was able to flash it properly.

--> Then I used the linker_ram file to flash the out file and it does not flash it giving an "undefined meemory error"

I was able to solve this problem by changing the board configuration and the linker script file.

Darshan,

The linker_ram.cmd will link your code in RAM for all section.
The linker_flash.cmd will link your code in Flash for the .text (code) and .const (Constant) .bss (data) will be mapped in RAM.

Why are you using linker_ram.cmd? In one of your post, you mentioned that when linker_flash is used, you are able to flash your device.

What are you trying to do with linker_ram.cmd?

Hello Jean,

sorry for my late reply. Actually I am using an build environment provided by Elektrobit's Tresos tool. They have provided with a linker_ram.ldscript and linker_flash.ldscript. The linker_ram.ldscript is may be helpful for test case execution to increase the life time of the flash. The number of flash write cycles is very limited.

I was able to flash using "linker_flash.ldscript" but not debug and then I noticed that my microcontroller board was not adapted and hence it was necessary to change the board files
