External bus interface with Peripheral IC

Hi all,

I, very recently started working on XRM48 series of controllers. And I have a very basic boubt in my mind, that, can we interface external peripherals like External UARTs or External IO devices with External bus to XRM48 devices ?

I know that we can interface SDRAM and other asynchronous memory devices.

    Chaitanya,

    For most external devices, you can connect them to the asynchronous space (CE1-3). You will need to configure the R4 MPU to make this region as either device or strongly ordered memory. I would suggest you checking the interface requirement of the external devices first. This EMIF is not compatible to the interface with multiplexed address and data signals.
