TMS570 ADC Module

Hi there,

Under the circumstance that both VCC and VCCIO pins of TMS570 are 3.3V, can I set the VCCAD and ADREFHI pins to 2.5V so that the input range of the ADC module is 0 ~ 2.5V? Is there some anti-alias feature built into the ADC module of TMS570? Thank you.

Please confirm that you mean VCC = 1.2V.

What do you mean by anti-aliasing? I'm not familiar with this term with regards to the ADC conversion.

By the way, my first thought is that VCCAD should also be 3.3V but that REFHI can be reduced. I will verify this.

Hi Kevin,

Yes, VCC = 1.5V, VCCIO = 3.3V. Sorry about the confusion.

Anti-aliasing filter means a low-pass filter to ensure that the frequency content of the input signal is below 2 x (the sampling frequency of ADC).

Brent,

You probably want to keep VCCAD at 3.3V also and lower the reference (REFHI) to 2.5V.

There is no anti-aliasing filter in the ADC.
