Calum,
Our RM48x line targets Industrial and medical spaces (non-automotive) and thus addresses IEC 61508. Our TMS570 line is directed towards the automotive space and thus targets ISO 26262.
As such, in addition to an ISO 26262 compliant safety development process, the safety metrics for ISO 26262 are different than IEC 61508. ASILD also has more stringent FIT rate requirements than SIL3.
Cheers,
Abhishek
