Hi,
Stellaris MCU development can be more easier and quicker, if developpers apply StellarisWare. I just wonder StellarisWare is also applicable for Hercules since MCU core is same ARM core: coretex-M3/R4F?
Thank you,
Masahiro

Hello Masahiro,
The Hercules 470M product line is based on ARM Cortex M processors, as is the Stellaris product line. Though both use the same processors, the product architectures and peripherals used are quite different. Any code from StellarisWare would require a porting effort to be used on a Hercules 470M product.
The Hercules RM4 and TMS570 product lines are based on ARM Cortex R processors. Cortex M and Cortex R share an instruction set, but have different programmers models. Any StellarisWare code would need a porting effort to be used on a Cortex R product due to the programmers model difference, beyond the architecture and peripheral differences noted above.
Best Regards,
Karl
