Im running on the TMS570LS20216 and im having some trouble with accessing mailboxes > 64. If i load in 0x41 into the IF1NO byte it actually just loads 0x01, 0x42 = 0x02 etc... am i missing something when im configuring the can that will enable more mailboxes?

OK so iv noticed my mistake, theres only 64 Mailboxes.

I have been misled by the TRM which in table 16-17 states that acceptable values are 0x01 - 0x80..

Strange..

Thank you James for pointing this out. I'll look into submitting a doc. feedback on this TRM, and also check the TRMs of the newer devices for the same issue. Looks like it's a 'reuse' error - because the IP for the CAN controller can be configured with a different # of mailboxes when you place an instance of it on a device. Hard to keep the small details like this in sync.

I guess cause it uses modulo addressing mechanism(circular buffering)
